In Swedish press, there are quite frequently references to TCITR, as
the other day when Italy had beaten Holland and thus qualified for the
final of the Euro football champs, when Italian goalkeeper Toldo had a
huge headline with the Swedish translation of the title of TCITR. If
anyone cares, I just pointed this out for you all to know that
Salinger's debut has even affected Swedish tabloids in the year 2000.
Say what you will, but the book HAS universal qualities, and so I will
argue til the day I die.
