I will be starting my freshman year at Saint John's College in Annapolis
about five weeks from now. I have been informed by the college that I
should complete my first Seminar assignment, Books I-VI of the Iliad,
before arriving, and that I "would also find it useful to review the
fundamentals of English grammar, which are presupposed in the study of
Greek."

I figure it's a good time to start doing that, and this is where you
come in. I currently have Strunk and White's _The Elements of Style_
(Fourth Edition) and nothing else on the subject. I'm looking for
suggestions regarding what other texts I should confer with. I assume
this is a good crowd to come to for advice.

So what do you recommend?
