i guess my general feeling re holden is one of
nostolgia.
i know so many readers, when they think 'salinger'
think 'catcher'. it's interesting that salinger never
did write what everyone wanted: a sequel to 'catcher'.
from all reports, the unpublished writings in the
vault are glass stories; not caulfield stories.
certainly salinger outgrew holden; it would seem that
he didn't outgrow the glasses.
