Woolf was a snob. Look where we'd be if Dylan hadn't begun until 30? Or
Led Zeppelin? Or Kate Bush? Or...
On the other hand, I once heard an interview with a songwriter. He was
asked how long it took him to write a song. He said "30 years and five
minutes. Five minutes for the song, 30 years to have something to write
about". I still believe that my writing gets better with my age, but it's
just rubbish to automatically discount something based upon the writer's
age. Snobbery, stupidity, and buggery.
