Of course. If we are overly anything about anything, we are being overly
something. Nothing overly, as one might translate the Delphic maxim. Of
course.
But so long as one maintains a very uninvasive understanding of "concern,"
being concerned will hardly be deleterious.
I don't know what "class" is (or, as the much older version of the question
goes, What Virtue Itself Is), but I expect that being civilized instead of
barbaric -- which the "barbarians" usually were, in similar proportion to
their conquerers, if only they'd have seen it -- is something in that
direction.
