Hi, my name is Derek Long. As I am writing this letter, I am only 16. But I hope that I can still grasp everything that comes by me and interpret it in a sensible, and intelligent fashion. As I read The Catcher in the Rye around 6 months ago, it became my favorite book. I would read it over and over, for I have felt this way about "phonies" too. Ever since that day, I have become an avid reader of J.D. Salinger, and I frequent http://www.salinger.org . It was this author that brought me back into the world of reading, and I thank him for that. Well, that is all I wanted to say.
