The list I think reached on one of those fairly rare consensuses on this
one when the topic last cropped up -- Zoo-ey. There was some interesting
speculation too. I remember reading someplace that Zelda Fitzgerald was
called Zooey, too, by friends..

But till you pointed out, the association with Zoo-smells never really
connected in what passes off as my mind. Come to think of it, I don't
think I offhand even remember if Zooey is also a shortened name like
Franny for Fransesca. Yeah, okay, so it's Zachary Martin. 

But apart from Seymour, almost all the Glass children names (save that of
Waker) seem to have shortened 'nicks' too, which makes sense considering
that Seymour is the oldest of the lot. But is Buddy's full name given
anywhere? (Boo-Boo is Beatrice, right?) Or, rather, is Buddy a standard
first (Christian?) name? I have known a couple of 'Buddy's but they all
were nicknamed thus..
