<< I realise things are more chummy down where the coolabahs grow but the democratic principle has no place in art. If you're a serious writer you're going to have to accept your membership of the loneliest elite in the world & just get on with it. No one ever wrote anything worthwhile with a bunch of nignogs looking over his shoulder. Scottie B.>> Ok, creative judgment is a TOTALLY different issue from what I've been talking about (where meaning comes from in a text), and I agree with you, Scottie. I do believe younger writers need more direction than more seasoned ones, and I have benefitted immensely from good suggestions from good readers, but when it comes down to it, I'm the writer when I'm writing, and my judgment comes first. No question there. Jim _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
