Dear John,
I should've known!  My 12 year old niece insisted I watch South Park but
it's on a bit late for me here...you really had me since I was trying to
remember if K was a reference to an early, unpublished version of Allie
Caulfield who is Kenneth (I think) Caulfield in that story ("An Ocean
Full of Bowling Balls")...I also
wondered if your reference was a synthesized idea of kafka and "soaring"
K...;)welcome to the list...btw, I recommend _Small World_ as "required
fun" for any conference goer and those of our field especially...it's by
David Lodge.
