This is why I'm talking in terms of `degrees of universality' - i.e. what
works of art will last longer than others. We can never really discuss
universality totally wholistically and it's probably wrong to attempt to do
so. To do that we'd have to know what was common to the whole universe and
that's a bit much to ask any of us to do!
