> I'm a young writer and I want the world to know I'm here. So, is there any way > I could spread like some pieces of work I have to major people, publishers > even, on the net or even through the mailing list. Can anyone help me or do > you think I'm a little crazy? > > Christian As a writer you have to be 100% self motivated. Send things out - send a publisher or agent a sample of your work (but check first if they read unsolicited manuscripts - less and less do these days). Enter competitions - that's how I got my first big break. Join classes and discussion groups, and overall, MAKE CONNECTIONS, I can' t stress that enough - I'm on the brink of securing a film contract simply because my screenwriting teacher really liked the short film I wrote to graduate. If no one else can help you, do it yourself. Put up a web page of your work (this is what I did and it's certainly given me a wider exposure). Publish a zine, or submit your work to other zines. Remember , no one will notice you unless you're jumping up and down waving a red flag, so asking for help like this is the first step in the right direction (: Camille verona_beach@geocities.com @ THE ARTS HOLE www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Theater/6442 THE INVERTED FOREST www.angelfire.com/pa/invertedforest
