If you tried to submit a message to the list on July 15 between the times of about 11:30am and 3:30pm Eastern Time (US), you may have had your message bounce back to you. We had a "disk nearly full" condition, and one of the system administrators who freed up disk space was unfamiliar with how the mailing list software works, and rendered it inoperable for a few hours. Please send your message along again, if you received a bounce. I apologize for the interruption; I was in a meeting when it happened, and spent a couple of hours gnashing my teeth as I tried to figure out what had gone on. Luckily, the window of unavailability was small, but I prefer to have the list up and running 24 x 7 x 365, so I feel compelled to explain to anyone who received a bewildering bounced submission that you should persevere. Cheers! --tim o'connor
