the missing Matt

    I should think there isn't one of us who hasn't greatly 
    missed Matt Kazusko's witty & highly civilised posts.

    It so happens I had an e-mail from him last month 
    with the news that there might be a chance to repeat 
    the Davy Byrne's hoolie which was - certainly for me - 
    a golden day of last winter.

    At the time of writing, he was about to go through 
    the final procedures for his PhD.  Then, he is due 
    'to spend the summer in Jesus College, Oxford.'  
    It's from this base in England that he intends visiting 
    Dublin 'sometime in July or August.'

    Whether we do meet will depend a bit on his dates 
    & my own movements.  If it *does* comes about, 
    as I greatly hope, I'll be able to update the report.  
    Jesus is a rather grand establishment but I shouldn't 
    think it will have much effect on old Matt's potent 
    & greatly understated charisma.
