Looks as if the NYRB put the Salinger piece up on its web site!

Get it while it's still hot. I'm not sure how easy it is to get old
articles -- it seems to be fairly straightforward -- but a lot of
sites these days are putting up financial barriers when you try to
get older articles from the archives, as they discover that web sites
are not inherently profitable. (The "bananafish" archive is funded
by the O'Connor Humanities Trust, fortunately, so the archive is not
going away unless the executor of the trust is run over by a very
efficient bus.)
Regrettably, the online copy at the NYRB does not include that
unusual portrait photograph. Perhaps if I can find out who owns the
rights to it, I can pop a copy onto the archive web site. Don't hold
your breath waiting, though, given all the other things that at the
moment have a higher priority. I haven't even been able to get the
May archive up and in place yet. 8-(
I guess you should send complaints about this to the administrator of
the trust!
