Mr. Bowman,
We certainly appreciate your clumsy but well-intentioned
effort to make us feel at home. You might employ the
"hotdog" or "McNugget" to much greater effect in future
endeavors of this sort.

It's embarassing gaffes such as these that reinforce my
thesis, conceived months ago during a heated, almost
violent exchange on the subject of contemporary American
politics, that Mr. Bowman has in fact never actually set
foot in the United States.

Well, Scottie, if you should ever decide we Yanks are
worth the visit, you're welcome to stay with me in Seattle
anytime.

-Sean

'... Tell me what a vichyssoise is, fine cook ...'

Something unknown, of course, to French cuisine,
but a chilled vegetable conconction contrived, I believe,
by Americans for Americans & introduced here by me
with the sole purpose of putting the Americans on the list
at their ease & unthreatened by too many exotic references.
