Anyone ever read JDS's Skipped Diploma/Ursinas College
stuff?
It's strange. First, it's very precious. 2nd, there's
some odd things in there like the use of the name
Phoebe and such, mention of the Lunts, Maurice, Mr. X.
I love finding these bits...I'm sure they resurface in
his work much later on unconsciously.
Also, as it relates to recent discussions, JDS says in
the 10/24/02 Skipped, in the "Book Dept.", "E.H. has
completed his first full-length play. We hope it is
worthy of him. Ernest, we feel, has underworked and
overdrooled himself ever since 'The Sun Also Rises,'
'The Killers,' and 'Farewell to Arms.'
Also, old Salinger is only known as "J.D.S."...what of
it?
