RE: Pigs

i hear there is a pirate video game going around in which the plot is to find and acquire unpublished salinger pieces. you can be a cat burgler and break into firestone library...you can be a mob thug and break into salinger's house at night, have a few piss nightcaps with the man, hold him up and take his safe ala "the italian job." what's really weird, is that at times, you use the "internet" on the video game to see if there is any salinger to be gotten from web pages...anybody gots this, let me know...

this gets me thinking re jds and his descriptions of
food. not very appetizing; or i can't think of a
sumptious description offhand.

i wonder if this has to do with his strange (?) diet,
as menued by joyce maynard.

an interesting note in her book mentions jds's goal to
reach the full vedantic age. i don't know if it's
true, but she says it's one hundred twenty years.

now *that* would throw a monkey wrench into reading
the unpublished stories any time soon!
