still, the sentence doesn't feel right. "after which regrettably ostentatious experience" doesn't feel right. after which regrettably...it's going to haunt me. i understand what the "regrettably ostentatious experience is referring to...just, i don't get the usage of the word "which" before those three words...is it decent sentence formation or is it missing a "the" or am i just refusing to believe there may be a sentence in the english language that i can't wrap my 101 mind around?

The original sentence reads fine -- he is merely referring to the "delicate
custom of spinning the body around with alarming speed" as a "regrettably
ostentatious experience".
Thought would step in before Scottie feels constrained to repeat an earlier
mail almost in its entirety.
