According to the OED, the word "braces" wasn't used to refer to dental
appliances until the mid 20th century, but it's been known to be wrong.

I don't think Blake ever had the money to afford such a luxury.

Remember this is one of the "Proverbs of Hell," so it's most likely that
Satan is the speaker.

So, you saying Satan needed braces? :)
