Only very slightly. I don't know that Wurzel's book is written very well,
but it's definitely similar subject matter. It's too bad that it fed a
media Prozac frenzy at the time of publication. They needed a poster
child, and Wurzel provided herself, much, probably, as Plath did
forty-some years ago.

But my god, I can't imagine that it would be very good for the psyche. A
couple of summers ago, I made the mistake of reading Sylvia Plath and
Susannah Kaysen back to back. Cripes.

(Both are fine books, by the way. As long as you take them singly, with
long spaces of sanity in between.)
