Oh, yeah, she had no doubt many reasons for beings screwed up. Many
people do. Ted Hughes, well, if she hadn't trashed (literally -- threw
out or burned, I believe) his poetry...who knows?

But I think it was a matter of Ted being smart enough to know to save
_himself_ from _her_, and knowing he couldn't save her. No one can
really save us, not unless we really want to save ourselves first.
