I think every one feels that Salinger hasn't published enough work but I
think that is what makes it so sp[ecial and worthy of attention. I
understand the frustration of not having a million books to choose from
like Stephen King or Michal Crichton or anyone on the best sellers list
but that was Salinger's intention. He worked until he got it right not
until he got popular or accepted. His not publishing anything is in my
opinion his way of saying that this is the best I have not just what I
have lately.
