I am not a huge U2 fan so I was unaware of this nagativeland fiasco. But since when is a law
suit tantamount to pop culture or phoyness? Also, I am more inclined to assume that Island
records is behind the suit as much as, or more than, the band members.

Final U2: Capua wrote a couple of days ago that she believed "One" to be the song of a AIDS
patient to his father and "Until the End of the World" the thoughts of Judas concerning
Jesus. I'll re-read the "One" lyrics, but from memory, the lyrics are ambiguous enough to
both support and refute the above theory. ON "UTEOFW", you're right on the money.

Sorry I can't remember who posted it (I share this computer with co-workers and they tend to
erase from time to time) but someone said that the Bus Driver in the Laughing Man was
rejected for social class reasons in response to an earlier assertion that the breakup hinged
on an unwanted pregnancy. (I hope this is right) After reading the post, they both made
since, particularly the former. But prior to this week, I always thought that the girl felt
she couldn't compete with the gang. She probably realized his passsion, creativity and
concern, traits to which she was not doubt attracted, would never be totally focused on her.
To her, the Laughing Man was never going to give up his adventures and she couldn't hang. So
she rejected him before he could give her a lifetime of unwitting "rejections".

I need to go, I think I hear tha MAN calling my name.

Josh
