Oh, not bad, Rod. Long time, no hear. Agree one hunfred percent about your
neo-Nazi point.
I haven't read much Octavio Paz and sure, anybody who loves him is welcome
to it, but the guy, sorry forget his name, who made some decent points
against Paz sounded very passionate about his reasons for burning the book.
Malcs, I am sure, was just being flippant, and didn't mean the Neo Nazi
part with any seriousness!

As for your view about Holden and Seymour and the people getting it all
wrong, I don't think, first, that JDS had any proselytising intentions with
his fiction. But what you seem to suggest has been speculated about before.
>From all recorded indications, JDS just didn't realise how privacy-invading
his success would turn out to be, and just wants to be left alone, because
that's the way he likes it. Sure, I guess he'd have some nice snidey things
to say about people like us who go around identifying with his fictional
characters so much as to have our log-in IDs on them. Oh, I am just jibing
at myself. Or about such discussion lists...
