I'm just about finishing up _One Hundred Years of Solitude_. I started = reading it because of all the mentions it gets on this list and there are a lot of things (like the fact that there are about 30 characters sharing TWO = different names... ugh) I don't like about it but it's been entertaining enough to = at least keep my interest all the way through. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has read _Silverlock_ by John Myers = Myers. It's great fun to read. It's about a guy who somehow gets sucked into some = kind of other dimension or something (it doesn't say that, but that's my explanation) and he goes on sort of a journey and runs into a whole bunch = of characters from other novels/stories (Moby Dick, Robin Hood, etc.). The = more you've read, the more characters you'll recognize and the more fun you'll = have. I recognized relatively few characters and still enjoyed it a lot because = the story and the writing are very good in themselves. . - David Schrimpf - david@cybermail.net - http://www.biogate.com/david
