Time Magazine & Lit

So did anyone else feel just a bit displeased with Time Magazine's
choices of the most influential people of the century, with this month's
area being the arts? It has now CEMENTED its reputation for me as one of
the most condescending, shoddily put together and poorly written
periodicals out there. So in the interests of space, I'd just like to
ask what everyone think of the choices in our pertinent sections.... if
you haven't seen it, don't even ask about jazz (any of the music
sections, really) and film (SPIELBERG?). Anyways, here they are:
Literature: First Place: Joyce
Hon. Mentions: Kafka, Woolf, Hemingway, Ellison, Marquez
Poetry: First Place: Eliot
Hon. Mentions: Yeats, Frost, Auden, Plath, Ginsberg
Remember, all, this is not supposed to be the most influential White
Males of the century (though you may easily be misled into thinking so)
nor even the most influential writers in the so-called Western
tradition, but rather, of the world. Hmmm.... Who would you have picked?
