Hi Angie, have fun palely loitering here (: I reccommend you look out for Henirich Boll's `14 Stories' - an excellent holiday read with stories ranging from a few pages to, well, long short stories. For a more extended read take anything out of the Vladimir Nabokov shelf, esp. Lolita or Pale Fire. As for poetry, have you ever read Christina Rossetti or Dante Gabriel Rossetti? Go for the former if you're feeling despondent, the latter if you're feeling romantic. And John Donne if you want to give your mind a good kick in the intellectuals. Well, that's a random scan of my bookshelves, hope you find something you like amongst it.
