Although Camille & Paul have identified themselves as
'fellow colonials', I should point out that the term can
be applied very properly to our splendid American friends
    as well.

Although it's sometimes unfairly termed 'crudeness',
I prefer to see the essential quality of Colonial Writing
as a kind of innocent freshness which we in the old world
    have now almost completely lost.

As well as that, of course, it radiates an honesty & vigour
which - though mistakenly identified sometimes as paranoid
    - truly reflects that healthy, assertive life lived nowadays only
in God's open air on the wide plains & lofty mountains of
    the Dominions.

Keep up the good works, chaps.
