Actually I did start reading `Cowgirls' and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I
had a read of the Van Sant screenplay the other day though and it seems
like a bit of a mistake (: It's the most ham fisted and lazy adaptation of
a book I've ever read, it's like he simply cut up a copy of the  book and
stuck it together in a slightly different order. That's what you get trying
to adapt a highly literary book.
