Hey, 'fishers:

Speaking of bookstores:

Last time I was in Southern CA, I found this store called The Bodhi Tree, &
I found this great book, probably the smoothest approach for a western mind
on Buddhism I've read: What The Buddha Taught by Walpola Rahula. He is very
qualified to tackle this & has done so very smartly.

OK, next: is anyone else out there a Rumi fan? If not, look for Coleman
Barks translations. He preserves the poetry while giving accurate
translations.

Come to the orchard in Spring.
There is light and wine, and sweethearts
in the pomegranite flowers.
If you do not come, these do not matter.
If you do come, these do not matter.

*********************************

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don't open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
