Right, you got through it when you were a child, many people do, and will in
the future. But it is by no means STRICTLY children's lit. If we wanted to
get pedantic and munch apples we could say that virtually NO children's lit
is for the child alone, that it all has a darker/deeper side that the adult
can plumb at will (the Wizard of Oz is maybe the best example of this,
MAYBE). The point is that those works are still relevant to the reader
returning to them years later.
