"Ask the Dust" is John Fante. (Not HST) And if that can of worms opens up I
will take the foot of silence from my mouth and sing like mad. My circle of
friends got hipped to Fante from Bukowski. He went on and on about him at a
reading and afterwards I read all I could. (Hence the old odd mis-post of my
poetry that I meant to send to BANdini instead of BANanafish.)

And speaking of Hunter, Paul, I know it to be a fact that his drink of
choice is Chivas Regal. His son Jaun is a friend. And with that in mind I
was able to secure an Uncle Duke Doonesbury action figure signed by Hunter.
(Very nice, indeed.)
