I believe it's put into the mouth of a character in HUIS CLOS ("No
Exit")--so it's not technically attributable to Sartre-the-Philosopher....
But it many ways, I think it expresses the negative essence of
existentialism....
When JPS found "meaning" in his life, things took on a much more positive
spin....  But, like bad Polish sausage, I don't want to bring that up again....
