Actually, I can't vote because I'm a permanent
resident and not a citizen yet(working on it). Every
time an election comes up, I try to stay informed of
how the candidates differ and think of who I would
vote for if I could. When i do become a citizen I
definately intend to vote, but I won't claim to be a
democrat or republican. But you're right that I'd vote
on ideology, because that's the kind of person I am.
