Subject: crumbs!

'... Indeed, I confess: I stood before the door of the Cornish
town hall and read the list ...'
With all his later, Sunnybrook weakenings it never once
occurred to me that those sad, inward eyes could possibly
belong to a Democrat. Old Jerry wearing a Clinton hat
& dancing to Happy Days Are Here Again along with all
those other social workers, conscience-wavers, pot-smokers,
draft-dodgers & women? Too absurd. (Although he
DOES seem to subsist on a suspiciously Democratically
vegan diet.)
I seriously doubt if it's possible for a true artist - as opposed to
mural painters & propagandists - to vote Democrat. After all,
art is not about wishful thinking.
None of this was surprising. What was surprising was to learn
that our leader - usually so sniffy about groupies trailing out
to Cornish - was himself on at least one occasion to be found
there too (autograph book at the ready?) It must have been
in his younger days.
