The sandwich is more memorable to me. (But what would I know? I'm a
vegetarian and haven't eaten chicken since before the Ice Age. I
always see it as a parallel image with Ginnie's dead chick and also
*her* sandwich, the undoubtedly salmonella-infected gift from
Franklin, in "Just Before the War with the Eskimos."
