I've read some critics say that Hapworth is probably a good indication
that Salinger shouldn't publish anything he's written after it...he's
gotten too solipsistic and loves his characters more than his readers,
or is just writing for himself. I understand where they're coming from,
but part of me thinks from a scholarship point of view and wants to see
everything he wrote in print just for the sake of study...
