In addition to some of the textual references to FSF's work in Salinger's
writing, Hamilton includes Fitzgerald in Salinger's bio. He mentions
that Salinger knew that the Saturday Post supported FSF, as such
magazines supported and published Salinger. Also Hamilton says that in
his letters, Salinger "spoke fondly" of Fitzgerald. There are several
other references in Salinger bio to Fitzgerald and the influences that
Gatsby's author may have had on Salinger.
