I was at B&N today.

There was some book where famous people talk about their favorite books.

In it, Dave Barry says Catcher was one of his faves. See we any Salinger
influence in Barry's column, hm?

Also, Vonnegut talks about Catcher as a big influence and has a great line,
something like "strange it was only 15 years ago that doctors started
diagnosing a disease called ADD...Holden had a major case of it...anyone who
leaves all the goddam foils on the train..." or something like that. It was
pretty amusing.

P.S. Letters to J. D. Salinger has arrived at my doorstep and it's AWEsome
looking. It's in the Press' warehouse and should be arriving in stores in
the next 4 weeks.

Sincerely,
