sending this to the whole list because this business applies to any
subscriber.

If you think your messages are having problems getting through, I need
you to supply all the evidence you have -- the more the better. Even
when I don't contribute, I monitor this list the way an intensive care
unit monitors a patient's heartbeat, and most of the problems get sent
to me immediately and directly, but if there is some kind of problem
creeping under the proverbial radar, I need to know, and you (the list,
collectively) are my best chance of getting an accurate picture of
problems.

So please, it's not a burden here; my goal is for the list to work as
close to 100% accuracy as can be achieved.

In this case, there's no "John G."-related error showing up in any files
that record bfish activity, so I can only guess that either the problem
occurred between your system and whatever handles your mail, or somewhere
else, PRIOR to arriving at the system that hosts bfish.

If you have anything that shows otherwise, I'd welcome it, off list, at
my private address.

For what it's worth, the biggest problem *I* see is people sending
commands (such as "subscribe," "unsubscribe," and such) to
"bananafish@roughdraft.org" instead of to "majordomo@roughdraft.org."
But that does not seem to apply here.
