With each post, especially his most recent ones about Derrida and postmodernism, Daniel vividly illustrates my original point about the worth of such conversations when they proceed without either a working knowledge of the primary texts or any acts of specific reading.
For that, I am grateful to him.
But then he says this:
"Ahh, I speak vaguely like Derrida..."
And I know all hope is gone. Either Daniel has never read Derrida or he does not read his own writing. Either situation makes any serious discussion impossible.
