No one's looking at your finger, but at the space between themselves and
your finger where the communcation actually happens.
Defining your beliefs about language, meaning, communication in terms of
a faith commitment validates Derrida's critique to a degree. No one's
arguing with it as a faith, I think, but with claims for perfect
rational certainty.
