This is something I had wanted to ask the list about too. I am not sure
whether it's a rip-off because the Internet Movies Databasee does credit
J.D.Salinger as a co-author!
Besides, though I haven't been able to get a copy of Pari yet, I did see
the same filmmaker's Sara, which was pretty well made and won some
International awards too--at Cannes I think...
But would be interesting to know if it indeed was an authorised
adaptation, as it appears to projeect itself as.
