First and foremost, there's no need to leave Nancy. If you don't like my
posts or topics or whatever, don't read them. There's an interesting JDS
topic right now that you can love to pieces. Partake in that. Or read
that. Do whatever you want with that. But realize this, I have no power
over you Nancy, and you are free to not read any of my posts or any
other person's posts or topics that you don't like. Yes, I could see why
you would criticize topic choice and all, but I can't see why you would
*leave* a list that covers a subject that you love....J.D. Salinger. If
you hate me, don't read me.
As far as what I said to you Nancy, I wasn't yelling at you. I wasn't
cursing at you. I was just calling into question your tactics. I think
it's wrong to condemn others for something and then not to do what you
prescribe, yourself. I realize you weren't directing that post at me. But
I am damned certain that the people you were directing it at and the
subject you were addressing involved me, because I partook extensively in
the discussion you were referred to.
On another note, I was not condemning you for not starting topics. It's
perfectly fine to lurk. Another person I know on this list told me the
same thing you did, they are at work and don't have time to post. I don't
always have time to post either. I understand. But, if that's the case, I
do not think you should condemn others for not doing something that you
aren't doing as well.......and in that case, it was merely writing posts
about JDS.
Finally, I disagree with your notion that any one person rules this list
or has more power than another. The person who has the ultimate power,
besides Stephen I guess, is each and every one of us. We all have free
will to read whatever topic we like and not read whatever topic we like.
We all are free to read whomever we like to read from and are also free
to not read whoever we like to read from. If you hate my guts Nancy and
love Sundeep and Will, well write to them and ask them to write more (if
they aren't already) and delete my posts. Believe me, I will not be
insulted or hurt. :-)
There is, however, one way to grant me power (and it is a power I do not
wish to have). If you leave this list, you are indirectly granting me
influence on your life. I urge you not to do this if you abhor my
existence. I urge you to simply delete the hell out of me if you dislike
my posts....and not to leave, and finally, to read and enjoy as much as
you like Sundeep's and Will's insightful posts.
