book gift suggestions...

thanks to everyone who offered their ideas on what book would be best to
start out reading salinger with.
i decided that if there was any book that this particular young fella
*needed* to read it was franny and zooey. but to tell you the truth,
he's so far up his own ass, he's beyond salvation. however, i made him a
mixtape instead. track listing available on request.
it's becoming clear that i am just a *mecca* for the type of deluded
atristes who make crappy 'symbolic' sculptures out of clay and
candlewax, and write dodgy, badly-spelled poetry that means *nothing*,
and talk about unhappiness, and aching, and all the things that
everybody feels, as though *they* were the only person to ever suffer.
diddums.
there are *far* too many of these boys circulating. and they all seem to
gravitate towards me. i'm sick of playing nursie to 'wounded' pathetic
weasels. from now on it's rugby players and tech geeks and cheery, 'up'
people for me. and if anyone dares to mention art to me, they will die
atop a bonfire of crumpled up refill pad pages and sketches of hearts
dripping with blood. et cetera.
