If I could stop laughing long enough I would answer that hilarious post
sincerely, but alas, it looks like I shan't ever stop, hahaha. Oh God,
priceless, Bowman!

	No, I think in a lot of ways the movie could strike someone as ... treacly
(the new favorite journalistic substitue for "outrageous sentimentality"), but
I couldn't get enough, I ate it up. Part of that was just the excitement that
those Hollywood boobs had unearthed that perfect gem of a novel, I guess. But
I see your point & understand that opinion, having eaten the film twice again
this past week. But Scottie, seriously, could you be funnier? Jesus. (And just
so you know, I'm never sure where the one starts and the other picks up,
either. You could probably make a fortune off my silly ass.)
