The Bishop has, of course, not the slightest intention
of trembling & departing. Since someone will have
to do it, I might as well be the one to assume the role
of fawning chaplain & murmur creepily:
'Perhaps, my Lord, you'd care to expand.
Let us have a little more of your thoughts
on the inadequacy of A Perfect Day as a short story.'

'... the animus of the story itself is hopelessly fragmented
    and unsettled ...'

That one stumped me, all right. Until I recalled that
out of this same stable galloped that weird nag -
the one that knocked down Esme.

(I think my own metaphor machine has been unhinged
with all those front line diggers & plethoric staff officers.)

So right then, bishop, let's be having you.

    Scottie B.
