Well, thank you, I think. I wouldn't say "I think" except for your first
sentence, which lends some ambiguity to the rest of the message, so that I'm
not sure if I should read it with a taint of sarcasm. But in any case, I
suppose I ought just to say thanks and move along. Thanks.

I never really left, and was always lurking. School keeps me quite busy,
though. There're a small handful of things that have appeared on the list
over the past few days that I want to respond to, but can't at the moment.
The school year is about over (although I still have two papers to write in
the next six days), and Reality Weekend is starting which is the traditional
year-end three-day party. The decorations are going up all over campus
right now (it's nearly 1a.m.) and the festivities officially begin in the
afternoon tomorrow. The theme -- which only the sophomore class currently
knows, and all else learn in the morning unless they're wandering around
now -- is A Midsummer Night's Dream, and going up on the bell-tower of the
administrative building very soon is a shockingly enormous ass's head.
Along with new and theme-related goings-on, there will be the party's
traditional Epicycle Races, Spartan Madball, and probably obscene quantities
of shitty beer. If I'm still alive on Monday, and have written my papers by
Wednesday, I plan on writing the aforementioned responses Wednesday or
Thursday.

I have no way of knowing whether I'll disappear again over the summer, when
I'll again be working construction to pay for school. And I'll almost
certainly disappear again in August, when I return to school. I plan on
lurking, though, and springing up again at some time or other.

As ever,
