Micaela, yes, I should have included Ray Carver. I don't know and
love Sherwood Anderson's work as well, but yes, you helped with
O'Connor's notion of a moment of grace and then I started thinking
how characters in great stories do change and how the motivation,
from epiphany to grace is often the key to understanding the
stories...thanks for your response, will
