Plenty of sprinklers playing on manicured lawns, yes,
but little or nothing of the real thing. Was I misled?
Are you actually all out there with trowel & watering
can, secaturs in the holster ever ready for the quick
    dead-heading?

    Scottie B.

Scottie, I reread your post prior to deep sixing it and we customarily use a
full size pointed shovel, a hundred feet of garden house or ejector
irrigation pump (in lieu of irrigation gates and presas) and sturdy hardened
steel made in America all purpose sheers. Some sissy's use gas powered
rotor-tillers, not us, my mom was a believer in hand turning with a full
size pointed shovel otherwise known as the idiot stick (palo de menso). I
told myself it was an opportunity to think with no distractions, and it was.
I guess we'll leave the doll house garden tools to the English. You may not
have run into he-men Americans gardening because they re-dub it Landscaping
to avoid wearing the floppy sun hat, but it's all good.
